Travel and Fitness Association was founded to provide valuable information and benefits to our members with a focus on the topics of travel and fitness. This association was founded during the middle of the coronavirus pandemic when travel and fitness patterns changed. Flights were out of the question for most people, and going to the gym seemed to be a thing of the past. It was time to rethink almost every part of our lives, so we decided to help provide the tools we all need for thriving in the new normal.

We are continuously working to negotiate deals, discounts and rebates for the exclusive enjoyment of our members. In the travel arena, we focus on hotels, car rentals, restaurants, and vacation packages.

But it’s not just about the discounts (even though they more than justify the association dues)! Our content writers highlight vacation spots across the country. During the early post-COVID phase we are primarily focusing on domestic destinations. Articles will provide tips and reviews for hotels, restaurants, Airbnb locations, and activities. The staff is based in the South, so the initial focus will be drivable destinations in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, and Tennessee. But as the country reopens, the geographic scope of the articles will expand to all 50 states.

It’s important to note that the association is not a travel agency — we do not receive a commission or referral fee for these services. So you can expect honest reviews and insights!

We have partnered with several large gym and fitness companies to provide workout regiments and fitness programs that can be used at home or in the gym. We also provide our members with advice, reviews, and routines to help improve your fitness experience.

TFA has grown rapidly with over 110,000 members in less than a year of membership. We have had several national gyms help promote the goal of the association.

How many board members manage the association and are they employees of the association?

The bylaws of the association state that there be five board members that are voted in by association members. These directors represent and vote on behalf of the members.

Do association members have any voting privileges and voting rights on association boards or committees?

Members nominate and vote on board members, and the board members vote on behalf of the association’s members. As the association grows and the board sees a need for additional committees, more will be established.

Is there an annual membership meeting or other membership meetings for TFA?

Yes, annual meetings are provided. All members are encouraged to attend the annual meeting via GoToMeeting or Zoom.

How are members notified of the meetings?

Meetings are posted on the members login page where an access link is available. Given the cost of physical meetings and travel, the board has decided to only have online meetings at this time.

How are member requests submitted to the board, and how does the board prioritize the benefits of its members?

Requests can be submitted through the contact form below and will be sent to the board for review. Given the purpose of the association, travel and fitness benefits are the priority, however, there are other benefits that are discussed at each meeting.

Does TFA donate a portion of dues to charitable organizations?
